Costs & Insurance
Prenatal care, birth, and postpartum
Cosmos Midwifery works out-of-network with all insurances, including Medicaid and marketplace plans. Most insurance companies will cover some, if not all, of the fee for home birth. Lab work will be drawn or collected by us in the office and sent to a laboratory that is in-network with your insurance. For ultrasounds you will be referred to an in-network provider.
We work with an expert medical biller, Hamilton Billing, dedicated to carefully explaining to you what you might be responsible for financially and guiding you through the process. At their website you can create an account to get concrete information from them about your expected costs for homebirth care.
Well-Body Care and Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy
Well-Body visits last one hour and cost $150 in our office. We use a holistic approach to review your medical history, your current health and lifestyle status, and make a plan together for the future of your care. We believe that each person deserves specialized and personal attention, and prioritize that during our visits.
Visits completed in our office can also include any necessary lab work, such as pap smears, STI testing, vaginal infection testing, etc. Labs will always be sent to be processed at a laboratory that is in network with your insurance.
Preconception, Fertility, and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
A fertility consultation might be right for you if you need more than a brief introduction to preconception care, whether or not you are planning to use IUI to conceive. We spend two to three hours discussing your health, your menstrual cycle, your lifestyle, and planning for how you will track your cycle and improve your fertility.
The consultation costs $400, can be virtual or in person, and are required prior to IUIs.
At-Home Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) are $600 and available in certain areas only.
In-office Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) are $500.
